“The Funk is Back” Tour

+ Jason Regan (Lost In Disco)

The Brand New Heavies release their brand new album “TNBH” (Acid Jazz) this autumn, which features guest appearances from Beverley Knight, N’Dea Davernport, Angie Stone, Siedah Garret, Laville, Angela Ricci and more. The lead single from the album is a cover of the Kendrick Lamar song “These Walls” lovingly produced by Mark Ronson.

Pioneers of the London Acid Jazz scene, The Brand New Heavies, have been responsible for some of the UK’s biggest R&B / Soul tracks, scoring sixteen top 40 singles including ‘Dream On Dreamer’, ‘Never Stop’, ‘Dream come true’, ‘Midnight at the Oasis’, ‘Brother Sister’, ‘You are the Universe’, ‘Sometimes’, ‘Stay this Way’ and ‘You’ve Got A Friend’, as well as over two million album sales.

Jason Regan has been filling floors in London, Brighton and Ibiza with old-school disco and vintage dance music since 2009.

As a founding member of The Sheen Resistance collective, and promoter and resident of the Lost In Disco parties, Jason Regan has been filling floors with old-school disco and vintage dance music since 2009.

Growing up listening to Philadelphia Soul and then early electronic pop music led to a love and appreciation for all aspects of disco – from the euphoric, orchestral classics of Gamble & Huff to the futuristic epics of Giorgio Moroder, Patrick Cowley and Cerrone.

Either with The Sheen Resistance or solo, Jason has played alongside legends such as John Morales, Barbara Tucker and The Brand New Heavies, and is equally at home in a small basement venue, or playing the gala opening of London’s Design Museum to an audience of global media superstars.

Infectious, groove-filled sets of disco, soul, funk, 70s and 80s dance and club classics and the occasional guilty pleasure are the order of the day (or night).

Jason presents the Lost In Disco show on Music Box Radio UK, live from central London every month.
