Mickey and the Soul Generation are arguably the definitive Deep Funk group. Between 1969 -1977, Mickey and the Soul Generation released a series of essential 45’s such as “Iron Leg”, “How Good Is Good”, “Get Down Brother”, “Southern Fried Funk”, “Joint Session” and more.
Jazzman Records unearthed and released previously unissued songs on a 45 in 2002, “We Got To Make A Change” b/w “Give Everybody Some”.
DJ Shadow released a compilation of their entire catalogue in 2004 on his own Cali-Tex record label.
Fronted by original Vocalist/ Saxophonist Emil Carter, Mickey and the Soul Generation will be performing an exclusive European show at the world-famous 100 Club with support and DJ’s to be announced shortly.
