The All-Star, legacy ensemble, expand their concept and repertoire for the 2020 tour – the Re Creation & extrapolation of Grateful Dead’s most ambitious & beloved live recording release: Europe ’72. That year … that tour marked a stark turning point as founding member Ron ‘Pigpen’ McKernan – the heart & musical soul of the group, dying of liver disease, would perform his last ever shows with the legendary band.  LIVE DEAD’s co-founder & spiritual leader Tom Constanten was Pigpen’s roommate in the 1960s. But Europe ’72, as the previous Skull & Roses live set proved – the studio was not the place were Grateful Dead congealed new material or re imagined for the stage, previous compositions. In fact, 1971-72 saw the creation & debut of many classic, original & beloved songs never released as studio versions, including ‘Jack Straw,’ ‘Brown-Eyed Women,’ & ‘Ramblin’ Rose,’ whilst establishing new live paradigms for tunes such as ‘Truckin’ & ‘Morning Dew’ – setting them high on the Deadhead fervor Richter scale.
